We are a faith-based organization dedicated to using the creative arts, especially music and the visual arts, as a powerful tool for sharing the Good News. Our mission is to engage and inspire individuals to deepen their faith through various forms of artistic expression. By working with musicians, student leaders, and creative professionals, we create experiences that amplify and spread the Gospel using the most relevant in person, on campus events and social media platforms.

 

Position Overview:

The Music and Ministry Intern will have the opportunity to blend a passion for the arts with a heart for ministry. This internship offers practical experience in developing faith-based media and messaging rooted in forgiveness and judgement free opportunities to connect with fellow students The intern will assist in creating outreach content for ministry events, and producing media that helps spread the Good News. You will collaborate with faith-based leaders and teams talented in the creative arts to explore how music, the visual arts, drama, and media can be effectively used to uplift and connect people.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating small group meetings, devotionals, special events, and artistic performances that integrate the creative arts with faith-based ministry.

  • Create original multimedia content (videos, graphics, social media posts) that shares the Good News of the Gospel in compelling and innovative ways.

  • Collaborate with musicians, vocalists, and other creatives to share, promote, and produce music the connects across many cultures, including small concert performance, and digital faith experiences.

  • Help lead or participate in small group study and/or devotional sessions with a focus on how the arts can strengthen faith-based connections.

  • Develop social media strategies that use the arts to engage and minister to a broader audience.

  • Assist in organizing outreach events or missions that involve music, drama, or other creative forms to serve the community.

  • Work on audio/video production for ministry-related content, intervies, or podcasts.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to come up with new and innovative ways to share the Gospel through the creative arts.

  • Assist with the promotion of regional talent searches for creative art leaders inspired to share positive messages that building stronger connections.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as organizing event logistics, managing project timelines, and handling communications with team members.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong faith and a desire to use the creative arts to spread the Gospel 

  • Passionate about music and ministry, with a heart for worship and evangelism.

  • Basic knowledge of faith music ministries is a plus.

  • Skills or interest in video/audio production, graphic design, or other creative arts are preferred.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation for ministry purposes.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with an ability to work well both independently and within a team.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow spiritually, artistically, and professionally.

  • A servant-hearted attitude, willing to support the vision of the ministry.

Position Overview

Join Voice Up as a Music Teacher & Lead Vocalist Intern, creating original music that bridges diverse musical traditions to address mental health awareness and community connection. You'll compose and perform songs that span multiple genres - from R&B to folk, jazz to Afrobeat, and country music - while focusing on messages of hope, healing, and social change.

 

Intellectual Property & Revenue Structure

- Interns maintains full ownership of all original intellectual property

- 50/50 split of net proceeds from all commercial use of created works

- Retention of rights to use intellectual property in personal portfolio

- Co-branding opportunities on all products and materials

Key Responsibilities

- Compose original songs focused on mental and behavioral health themes

- Participate in weekly Saturday afternoon collaborative sessions with our nationwide team of student leaders

- Document the songwriting and creative process

- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university

- Strong musical composition and performance abilities

- Experience in multiple musical genres

- Understanding of music's role in social change

- Ability to write meaningful, impactful lyrics
