Documentary Film & Production Internship

Social Impact Leadership Documentary Series

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate documentary filmmaker for an innovative remote internship opportunity to help create a groundbreaking interactive documentary series. This project will follow 20 college student leaders as they implement social impact projects, incorporating multimedia elements and audience participation in unprecedented ways.

 

Duration & Schedule

- 16-week commitment minimum 

- 100% remote position

- Completely flexible schedule

- Start date negotiable

 

Compensation

Choose between:

- Academic credit (coordinated with your educational institution)

- Volunteer position with formal letter of support from the founder, detailing your contributions and impact

 

Project Description

You will be part of creating a revolutionary documentary series that:

- Chronicles the journeys of 20 emerging college student leaders

- Documents real-world social impact projects from conception to implementation

- Integrates multiple art forms including dance, music, and visual arts

- Creates innovative ways for both subjects and viewers to participate in the storytelling process

- Helps connect people worldwide to their sense of purpose through storytelling

 

Key Responsibilities

- Remote filming and documentation of participant stories and projects

- Creative integration of various art forms into the documentary narrative

- Development of interactive elements that enable viewer participation

- Collaboration with student leaders to capture their journey authentically

- Editing and post-production work to create compelling narrative arcs

- Implementation of innovative storytelling techniques

 

Required Skills & Qualities

- Experience with video production and editing

- Strong storytelling abilities

- Creativity and innovative thinking

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently

- Excellence in remote communication and collaboration

- Interest in social impact initiatives

- Understanding of various artistic mediums and their integration into film

 

Desired Experience

- Background in documentary filmmaking

- Experience with interactive media

- Knowledge of social impact projects

- Familiarity with remote production techniques

- Understanding of participatory filmmaking methods
